Stripe Identity ($1.50, one time, charged by Stripe). Without verification you can browse but can’t send a match request. After verification you’re a full member.

Hard-filter search across verified members in your city. Send match requests to people you’d actually live with. When they accept, in-platform chat opens.

How do I know the people I'm chatting with are real?+
Every member who can message you has passed Stripe Identity verification — government ID + selfie. Stripe charges $1.50 for it (we don't mark it up). Identity is a gate, not a nudge — without it, you can browse but can't send or receive match requests.
What's the Rental Passport and do I need it?+
It's optional. The Rental Passport ($39, one time, charged by Mia's Place) is a portable credential covering background check, credit, employment verification, and references — TransUnion SmartMove powered. You carry it across landlord applications. Some hosts require it; some don't.
Will you match me with someone automatically?+
No. Hard-filter search + recency sort. You see verified members whose filters intersect yours; you choose who to message. There's no compatibility algorithm, no ranking, no "featured matches." This is a deliberate design call (DEC-032 neutral-tool posture).
I'm not in Pennsylvania. Can I still use the platform?+
Yes. The roommate-matching side is live in 50 US cities. The brokerage representation track (where a licensed agent searches and represents you on the apartment side) is currently Pennsylvania-only — we're expanding city by city. Self-source the apartment elsewhere, find the roommate here.
What if a match request gets weird?+
Block, mute, or report from the conversation. Every member is ID-verified, so reports route to ops with a real person attached. We have a moderation pipeline and a takedown path.
